The growth rate of Ukrainian sugar sales declined

Sugar buyers reduced purchases in Ukraine. This is reported by the press center of the National Association «Ukrsugar».
There was a decrease in exports, but the list of importers stayed the same. The changes happened in April, when 41,8 thousand tons of sugar were exported.
In April, export of sugar was 12% less than in the previous month, the geography of exports has not changed. 12% of shipments in April were performed to the UK, another 6% into Azerbaijan and 15% was sent to Moldova, Libya and Turkey.
In total, 379,9 thousand tons of sugar were exported for September-April 2017/2018 period.
The «Ukrsugar» association reported that over the past year was produced 2 million tons of sugar. The same is expected to receive this year. Forecast says that sugar prices will rise in Ukraine.

As «The Journalist» reported, from February 1, 2018, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine will raise the sugar and beets price.
