The Institute for Demography and Social Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine will conduct a trial census in two districts of Kyiv. This was announced by the director of the Institute of Demography Ella Libanova in an interview with ZN.UA.
“A trial census is included in the work plan and is conducted to clarify issues, the burden on the scriber, to understand the reaction of the population, including the tablet,” said the director of the Institute of Demography.
To Libanova, she would have conducted it in one of the oblasts of Western Ukraine.
“I’m afraid Kyiv will not reflect that specificity. But usually State Statistics Service of Ukraine makes a trial census where it is more convenient for it,” she said.
As The Journalist reported, Ukraine’s population decreased by about 163 thousand people in 2019.
