Turkish citizen tried to export 3 kg of amber jewelry to Moldova

In the Odessa oblast the checkpoint “Palanka”, located on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, a Turkish citizen was detained with 3 kg of amber jewelry.

According to the press service of Southern Regional Department of State Border Service of Ukraine, a Turkish citizen was traveling by car to Moldova through the checkpoint Palanka.

In the course of the joint border and customs control of the Ukrainian-Moldovan control, border guards among the personal belongings of a foreigner found products from amber, about which the man did not report crossing the border. The total weight of the products was more than 3 kg.

As the “Journalist” reported, the smuggler hid 15 kg of amber among sweets.
