Ukraine for the first time exported more than 8 thousand tons of apples per month. About this writes East Fruit.
It is reported that about a quarter of all exports of Ukrainian apples fell on the EU countries.
“For the first time in history, Ukraine exported more than 8 thousand tons of apples for the month. And although, still, a significant amount of exports of apples from Ukraine, about 51%, is intended for re-export to Russia, as evidenced by supplies to Belarus and Moldova, export growth in other areas is striking, ”said the head of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association (UFVA) Fedor Rybalko.
The report notes that Bulgaria has become the leader among the EU countries in terms of imports of Ukrainian apples. Sweden became the second largest importer.
