In the season 2018-19, Ukraine exported a record 2.4 thousand tons of white cabbage, significantly expanding the export geography. About this writes website of the Ukrainian fruit and vegetable associations.
It is reported that the number of exported cabbage in the season 2018-19 was 6.2 times more than in the same period of the season 2017-18, when the export of these products amounted to only 431 tons of cabbage.
According to experts, this situation is associated with a reduction in yield in neighboring countries and the EU due to drought and hot summer.
The report notes that in the season 2017-18 the only buyer of cabbage was Belarus, then in 2018-19 Moldova, Poland and Romania became the main buyers.
