Ukraine allocates UAH 1.5 bln to combat COVID-19 challenges

As of April 13, Ukrainian government bodies had purchased goods and services UAH 1.47 billion worth aimed to counter the coronavirus. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Kyiv oblast authorities spent UAH 427 million to purchase goods to combat COVID-19, as well as Odesa (UAH 153 million), Lviv (UAH 128 million), Dnipropetrovsk (UAH 127 million) and Zaporizhzhiya oblasts (UAH 67 million).

Least of all were spent in Chernihiv (UAH 17 million), Chernivtsi (UAH 16 million), Ivano-Frankivsk (UAH 13 million), Kirovograd (UAH 8 million) and Luhansk (UAH 5 million) oblasts.

The Center of Emergency Medical Help and Disaster Medicine of Kyiv city (Kyiv City State Administration) made an expensive purchase worth UAH 74 million, buying specialized vehicles for medical facilities.

The National Police Service Center purchased protective suits (UAH 69 million), as well as medical gloves and masks (UAH 61 million).

The central hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs purchased respirators and insulating suits for UAH 46 million.
