The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine initiated visa facilitation with the UK. In the near future, specialists from the United Kingdom will arrive in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
On October 29, the Interior Ministry hosted a meeting of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov with the British Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Melinda Simmons.
The parties discussed the intensification of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the UK, especially in the context of the recent visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to London.
The Minister noted that relations between Ukraine and Great Britain have reached a new level.
“Today we are discussing a roadmap for the implementation of the agreements reached. In particular, the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiates a dialogue between the countries on simplifying visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens and is ready to meet the British side as much as possible on the analysis of migration procedures and legislation. The relevant specialists will arrive in Ukraine with this mission,” Arsen Avakov said.
The Minister stressed the need to open a British visa center in Ukraine for the expedited processing of applications from Ukrainian citizens. According to him, such a step will testify to the serious attitude of the British Government in this matter.
