The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) start to purchase 308 Winchester cartridges (7.62 × 51 mm NATO) to equip snipers armed with new domestic rifles. It is reported by the Ukrainian militaristic portal.
Starting from this year, AFU began to equip snipers with ammunition manufactured in Zbroyar plant in Ukraine. The plant passed 308 caliber cartridge tests and Ukrainian army began to purchase them. Now snipers are supplied with domestic sniper rifles of 308 caliber Win UAR-10 (Zboyar Z-10), as well as American-made SAVAGE and BARRETT heavy rifle (.338 LM and .50 BMG).
Individuals and companies also provide volunteer assistance.
