On August 4, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Oleg Tsulya, made his first visit in the status of a minister to Ukraine, where he met with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen mutual support in the restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries on the basis of international law.
They paid special attention to regional security matters, namely the situation in eastern Ukraine, human rights violations in the temporarily occupied Crimea and the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
Kuleba said Ukraine will continue to support all Moldova’s initiatives aimed at the settlement of Transnistrian conflict.
Dmytro Kuleba and Oleg Tsulya agreed to revive consultations on resolving problematic issues in bilateral relations, namely, package agreement, which includes, in particular, the issue of the Dniester hydroelectric power station and the Odesa-Reni road.
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry thanked the Moldovan side for provided humanitarian aid to overcome the consequences of the floods in western Ukraine.
