Ukraine plans to launch Russian-language TV channel

Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, Information Policy and Tourism Volodymyr Borodyansky has said that a new state-owned Ukrainian Russian-language channel will be launched within three months, Hromadske reported.

Borodyansky said that currently a concept for Russian-speaking TV channel, which will be made on the basis of broadcasting, is being developed.

In addition, the Minister of Culture said that the TV channel will counter fake news by showing current events in Ukraine. It is planned to invite young people, who live in the east, to the government- controlled territory of Ukraine, so that they have the opportunity to observe what is really happening in the country.
