Ukraine, Poland discuss bilateral cooperation in security and defense sector

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov has met with Secretary of State, Head of the National Security Bureau of the Republic of Poland Pawel Soloch discuss bilateral cooperation in the field of security and defense. This was reported by the NSDC press service.

“Poland is our devoted friend and reliable partner for Ukraine in the current difficult times. We really appreciate it,” Danilov said.

Mr. Soloch noted that President Zelensky makes significant efforts in intensifying Ukrainian-Polish relations and gives a new dynamic to international relations, in general.

Danilov during the meeting noted that, despite the agreements reached during the meeting in the Normandy Summit, the dynamics of shelling against Ukrainian positions in Donbas remains negative.

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the security and defense sector, as well as the intensification of cooperation at the level of apparatuses and experts of the two departments. The parties also emphasized the need to expand the regional dimension of cooperation, in particular in the Black Sea and Baltic regions.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine noted the importance of further cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, since cyberattacks and the information war against Ukraine are dangerous.
