Ukraine reports 1,616 new coronavirus cases over past day

Ukraine reported 1,616 new coronavirus cases over the past day, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.

As of August 18, 2020, in total 94,436 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded in Ukraine, of which 48,925 patients recovered, 2,116 cases were fatal.

Some 761 patients have been recovered from the coronavirus over the past day.

The overall incidence per region is the following: 3,272 cases in Vinnytsia region; 4,792 in Volyn region; 1,772 in Dnipropetrovsk region; 1,100 in Donetsk region (Ukrainian-controlled districts); 2,497 in Zhytomyr region; 6,435 in Zakarpattia region; 1,154 in Zaporizhia region; 6,959 in Ivano-Frankivsk region; 746 in Kirovohrad region; 10,730 in the city of Kyiv; 4,620 in Kyiv region; 12,260 in Lviv region; 185 in Luhansk region (Ukrainian-controlled districts); 832 in Mykolayiv region; 5,158 in Odesa region; 565 in Poltava region; 7,828 in Rivne region; 966 in Sumy region; 3,902 in Ternopil region; 6,360 in Kharkiv region; 305 in Kherson region; 1,628 in Khmelnytsky region; 7,954 in Chernivtsi region; 1,167 in Cherkasy region; 1,250 in Chernihiv region.

Data from Russia-occupied areas – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions – is not available.
