December 16, Ukraine reported 12,047 new cases of coronavirus. At the same time, 12,939 patients recovered. Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov announced this on Facebook.
The daily figure includes 594 children and 535 health workers. Some 2,997 patients were hospitalized. Most infections were detected in Kyiv city (1,512), Odesa (1064), Zaporizhzhia (858), Kyiv (626) and Chernihiv (587) regions.
In total, 65,561 tests for coronavirus were carried out yesterday. Of these, 41,733 by PCR and 23,828 by ELISA.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 931,751 people have been infected in Ukraine, 548,356 have recovered. In total, Ukraine reported 383,395 active cases.
