Lawyer Valentyn Rybin said that Ukraine and Russia are at the final stage of updating the lists of prisoners, and added that the prisoner swap could take place at the end of this week. This was reported by the Russian edition of Izvestia.

“I expect the swap will take place this week. I can’t tell the exact date yet. The fact is that there has been days off in Ukraine since August 24. Active work will resume from Tuesday and the progress will start. One way or another, everything should happen soon,” the lawyer said.

The issue of lifting all charges from persons declared for the swap is being resolved. According to the lawyer, those who will eventually be sent to their homeland should not have problems with the law again (related to previous accusations).

Also, the lawyer did not name the exact number of people who will be on the lists on both sides.

Rybin clarified the situation with the chief editor of RIA Novosti-Ukraine Kirill Vyshinsky, noting that he would not take part in the exchange, since he intends to defend his innocence in a Ukrainian court.
