The Central Election Commission has begun registering candidates for local elections scheduled on December 22, 2019. This was reported by the CEC press service.
“On November 18, the process of nominating candidates for local elections on December 22, 2019 begins,” the report said.
The first local elections of deputies of village, town, city councils of the united territorial communities (UTCs), as well as village, town, city heads to be held on December 22 and will take place in 86 UTCs (69 rural, 16 village, 1 urban UTC) in 21 oblasts of Ukraine.
To CEC, the submission of documents to the territorial constituency ends on November 27.
The election commissions will decide on registration and on the refusal to register candidates until November 28.
