Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksii Honcharuk, speaking at a conference on land administration reform, has announced the opening of the land market in Ukraine in October 2020.

“Now the model that we offer provides for the opening of the market from October 1 of next year,” the prime minister said.

He noted that the land market will open gradually. The market should not be convenient for speculators, but for those who really work on the ground.

“Of course, we will guarantee the rights of those who are currently renting a land plot to buy in the first place. This is absolutely necessary. We really do not want those who are currently cultivating the land to lose the opportunity to cultivate it in the future,” Honcharuk said.

The head of government also noted that he sees no reason to “kick out” a foreign investors.
