The metallurgical industry in Ukraine increased production by 30% in January 2020 compared with October 2019. This was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture.
The growth of metallurgy indicators was caused by the production of cast iron, steel and rolled products.
“Among the trends the attention is focused to, we should note the recovery of metallurgy in January: the production of pig iron, steel and rolled products increased by about 30% compared with the indicated minimum in October,” the statement said.
The government proposed to allocate UAH 20 billion for industrial support programs.
As The Journalist reported, Ukraine’s industry fell after three years of growth.
