The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine plans to acquire 13 Antonov state enterprise-made An-178 aircraft, as the Interior Minister Arsen Avakov reported on his Twitter account.
“We presented at the @salondubourget an unprecedented contract between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Antonov SE for the purchase of 13 An-178 for the National Guard and State Emergencies Service. These are the first aircraft made with Ukrainian and Euro components. They will be in service in three years, while the first demonstration flight will be conducted in the autumn,” the report says.
In addition, it became known that Ukraine will prematurely receive five helicopters. Relevant agreements were reached at the Le Bourget Air Show between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Airbus Helicopters.
Three Н225 helicopters will be transferred to the State Emergency Service and the National Guard, another two Н125 helicopters will be transferred to the Kremenchuk Flight College of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
