The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, by his decree No.423/2019, published on the official presidential website, made changes to the composition of the National Investment Council and appointed Ukrainian IT-entrepreneur, public figure and volunteer David Arahamia as its secretary.
The renewed investment council includes the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the head of the National Bank of Ukraine (by agreement), the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine, and also representatives of Ukrainian and foreign organizations and companies (by agreement), business circles, experts in attracting investment, entrepreneurship development, specialists in the field of economics and finance.
“I don’t want to declare a lot at the start, but all preliminary consultations with large investors indicate that Ukraine can increase the current volume of investments at least by three times. I was given a task by the president to boost this process,” said David Arakhamia.
David Arakhamia was born on May 23, 1979 in Sochi. He graduated from the European University, has a master’s degree in economics. He completed the Professional management master program at Open University (London, UK). He is a co-founder of the international Template Monster IT company, as well as the founder of the People’s Project volunteer organization, which provides assistance to the Ukrainian military in the east. He has led the Weblium international website development platform since 2016.
As The Journalist reported, Zelensky signed decree on adoption of powers of Supreme Commander of Armed Forces of Ukraine.
