The Minister pf the Cabinet of Ministry Dmytro Dubilet has said that the budget incomes in 2019 were less than in 2018 due to the prosperity of the shadow alcohol market.
“In 2019, the budget received steadily less than in 2018. However, the last two months we have noticed a sharp rise in budget revenues by about UAH 400 million in an additional two months,” Dubilet wrote.
According to the minister, the Ukrainian government has succeeded in fighting the shadow alcohol market for the past few months: the Ukrspirt has a new leadership, a staff shuffle in the tax police and other law enforcement agencies, and the government has begun to cooperate with the business entities to train to counteract participants of the illegal participants.
