Ukraine recorded 1,453 new coronavirus cases over the past day, the press service of the Ministry of Health informs.
As of August 7, in total 78,261 laboratory confirmed coronavirus cases have already been detected in Ukraine, with 43,055 patients recovered. The pandemic has taken 1,852 lives.
The largest number of active patients per 100,000 people was registered in Lviv (297.4), Zakarpattia (244.1) and Ivano-Frankivsk (240.8) regions.
The overall incidence per region is the following: 2,932 cases in Vinnytsia region; 4,162 in Volyn region; 1,508 in Dnipropetrovsk region; 945 in Donetsk region (Ukrainian-controlled districts); 2,064 in Zhytomyr region; 5,615 in Zakarpattia region; 895 in Zaporizhia region; 5,426 in Ivano-Frankivsk region; 714 in Kirovohrad region; 9,178 in the city of Kyiv; 4,058 in Kyiv region; 10,572 in Lviv region; 146 in Luhansk region (Ukrainian-controlled districts); 682 in Mykolayiv region; 3,904 in Odesa region; 489 in Poltava region; 6,638 in Rivne region; 636 in Sumy region; 3,212 in Ternopil region; 4,527 in Kharkiv region; 255 in Kherson region; 1,286 in Khmelnytsky region; 6,477 in Chernivtsi region; 975 in Cherkasy region; 965 in Chernihiv region.
Data from Russia-occupied areas – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions – is not available.
