Ukraine sends military contingent to peacekeeping mission in Kosovo

Ukraine sent a military contingent to a peacekeeping mission in the Republic of Kosovo. The Ukrainian military have undergone a two-week medical observation at the Truskavets Center for Medical Rehabilitation and Sanatorium Treatment before being deployed to Kosovo, Army.inform reports.

The peacekeeping contingent consist of 40 servicemen.

According to the head of the military sanatorium Colonel Vasyl Volchansky, this is the fourth peacekeeping contingent that has been undergoing medical observation at the Truskavets military sanatorium since the beginning of the quarantine. However, this is the first time when troops were observed before being deployed to a foreign country, not upon returning.

He also added that all military personnel have undergone PCR testing at the beginning and at the end of the observation.
