CEO of Naftogaz Andriy Kobolyev has said that the Ukrainian gas transmission system is in an intermediate state, since pumping of gas into the underground storage facilities has been stopped and the gas off-take from there has not yet been made. He wrote about this on Facebook:
“Today, the Ukrainian gas transportation system and the entire gas market are in a unique intermediate equilibrium state.”
Kobolyev noted that the volumes of gas injected into the underground gas storage facilities coincide with the volumes of off-take from storage facilities and are equal to zero.
At least 20 billion cubic meters of gas are needed to ensure the heating season in Ukraine. Now there are 21.74 billion cubic meters of gas reserves.
As The Journalist reported, Naftogaz launches Gas Reserve Program for Apartment Owners Association.
