Pivdenne design bureau tested a rocket engine.

Dnipro. Ukraine completed the second phase of final tests of the RD-861K engine for the Cyclone-4M rocket. The video of test was published by Pivdenne design bureau on YouTube.

“Tests (three series of five starts with a total duration of 1601.6 seconds) completed the full cycle of ground testing of the engine and finally confirmed the operability of the selected design, systems and engine components in the range of specified operating conditions,” the design bureau said.

The engine is planned to be used in the second stage of the new Cyclone-4M rocket. The test was successfully conducted on June 26 at the Yuzhmash stand.

Cyclone-4M is a 39-meter two-stage medium-class launch vehicle with a diameter of 4 m designed to deliver payloads on low, medium circular and elliptical orbits.
