Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov during his briefing held on June 15 said that changes regarding funding of hospitals at a level no less than on previous year will take effect from July 1.
“With regard to the revision of tariffs and support to prevent the closure of medical facilities and sacking of doctors and health workers, the relevant amendment documents are already being agreed so we won’t pass less funding than last year,” Stepanov said.
According to him, from July 1, all medical institutions will receive an appropriate funding that will allow to pay salaries, to prevent them to shut down and remain at their current level.
“In addition, we are working out the mechanisms of functioning of health care system in 2021,” the head of the Ministry of Health added.
