This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy in an interview with Economic Truth.

“By the end of the year, we plan to install more than 200 traffic cameras on the state roads of Ukraine,” the minister said.

He noted that thanks to automatic cameras, in the first months the number of violations is declining in those areas that previously were leading in terms of fines.

“If on average during the month there were UAH 30 million fines, then next month there will be 30% decline and so on. The system meets expectations,” Krykliy stressed.

He added that “people were mentally prepared for this system,” although he expected opposition in this matter.
