Ukraine updates quarantine zones as of Sept 21

Ukraine updated the adaptive quarantine regime as of September 21. There is not a single regional center of Ukraine in “red zone”. The corresponding decision was made by the State and Regional Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies, RBC-Ukraine reports.

Red zone

The operation of public transport, shopping malls, cafes and restaurants is prohibited. Such restrictions are possible if more than 75% of beds in hospitals are loaded for 5 days in a row, the average incidence rate of cases per 100,000 of the population for 14 days is more than 5 times higher.

This zone includes: the city of Chop, Zakarpattia region; the city of Slavuta and the Volochissky district of the Khmelnytsky region; the city of Nizhyn and the Nosovsky district of the Chernihiv region; the city of Berezhany, Zalishchitsky, Zbarazhsky and Ternopil districts; the city of Kaniv, Cherkasy region; Sambyr and Pustomytivsky districts of Lviv region; Hertseivsky and Kelmenetsky districts of Chernivtsi region.

Orange zone

This zone includes the largest number of regional centers, as well as the capital of Ukraine: hostels and tourist centers, restaurants, fitness centers and gyms, some cultural institutions, children’s camps are prohibited to work there. Mass gatherings of more than 100 people are also prohibited.

This zone includes: Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, Khmelnitsky, Chernivtsi, Uzhhorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, Ternopil.

Yellow zone

In this zone, it is prohibited to visit social security institutions for elderly (except for those that provide services).

These zone includes: Lutsk, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Cherkassy, ​​Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Mykolaiv.
