The Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services Lev Partskhaladze said that on October 1, in Ukraine the recommended building code for the Internet will begin to operate in all hotel rooms while their designing and construction.
The corresponding norm is included in the changes to the State Construction Standard (SCS) “Hotels”, coming into force on October 1, 2019.
“Free access to the Internet in hotels is, certainly, not new. However, imagine, yet there have been no requirements on the Internet network construction and necessary devices in the existing building regulations”, the deputy minister highlighted.
In addition, Partskhaladze noted that, according to the published changes in the SCS, hotel buildings should be equipped with networks and devices, and, if necessary, have separate rooms for wired and wireless Internet access, mobile and telephone communications and television.
