The Zeleny Pes publishing house received a grant from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation for publishing an e-book for children on the Constitution. It is planned to be published as a comic book aimed at presenting the main law and its implementation in an accessible format. Vitaliy Kapranov, a co-founder of the ZelenyPes publishing house, said this at the presentation of the project, as Ukrinform reports.

“This year we contacted the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation with an initiative to write a comic book that explains the essence of certain articles of the Constitution. The idea is to draw a young reader’s attention by pictures and easy texts. We decided to develop a social project that would explain things about the Constitution the teachers usually cannot explain, i.e. how it works in specific situations. That is why the issue of “simplifying” the abstract provisions of the Constitution and explaining by everyday life examples became the key point of our project,” he said.

It was decided to choose comics and the e-format, taking into account the needs of modern children.

The book is intended for primary and secondary school children.

The artist Oleksandr Kostenko is an author, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine (1992), the judge of the Constitutional Court (2005), VolodymyrKampo, is a legal consultant.

Earlier The Journalist reported that Ukraine banned import of books about Vikings and monopoly game.
