Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Andriy Sibiga, together with the consul, visited the Ukrainian sailors who were rescued from the Arvin ship that sank off the coast of Turkey, Ukrinform reports.

“Probably today is your second birthday. I wish you a speedy recovery and return home. You are under the protection of the Ukrainian state, we guarantee you all-round support and assistance,” the message reads.

The rescued sailors thanked the rescuers, doctors and Ukrainian diplomats for their care and assistance.

Recall, on January 17, a dry cargo ship crashed in the Black Sea near the shores of the Turkish province of Bartin. The ship crashed and sank due to adverse weather conditions in the place where it was anchored. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported that there were 10 Ukrainians on board.
