Ukrainian Artillery Forces conducted live-fire exercises at one of the training grounds in the south of Ukraine, involving D-30 howitzers and the Hyacinth-S 152 mm self-propelled guns.
This was reported by the press service of the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Practical skills trained during the deployment of the battery and the implementation of the standards for preparation for firing are improving teamwork of gun crews of the howitzers D-30 and Hyacinth-S self-propelled guns.
“Gun crews of howitzer artillery work out the issues of bringing artillery installations to battle and preparing for firing, as well as fulfill the standards for changing firing positions,” Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
According to him, the training includes reaching the line of fire, arranging positions, conducting artillery reconnaissance, as well as switching to various modes of firing.
