The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoliy Petrenko has said that in 2019, 7,435 units of weapons and military equipment were transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
According to Petrenko, equipment includes about 700 units of missile and artillery weapons, about 900 units of armored and automotive vehicles, as well as 90 aircraft of various types, five combat vessels and ships.
“This is a decisive indicator in order to make decisions on the forms and methods of using troops, to put it simple – how we will fight. This is a key criterion for organizing combat training. This is what primarily affects the organization and creation of military infrastructure. And of course, the main thing is to organize the defense planning process on the basis of opportunities,” Petrenko said.
