Today, June 6, the famous Ukrainian writer Yurii Musketyk, aged 89, died, as it was reported by the head of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, Mykhailo Sydorzhevsky on his Facebook page.
“Some difficult news. This morning Yurii Musketyk, one of the classics of modern Ukrainian literature, has died. His daughter Lesia has just informed me. Rest in peace, dear Yurii Mykhailovych”, wrote Sidorzhevsky.
Over his life, Yurii Musketyk wrote about two dozen novels, including “A Drop of Blood” (1964), “Trial of Seneca” (1978), “Frontier” (1984).
He was awarded the title Hero of Ukraine, along with some other distinctions.
