The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andrii Taran has informed about the current situation and the course of treatment of Ukrainian servicemen infected with COVID-19, and told how Ukraine managed to prevent the coronavirus to spread into Joint Forces Operation area.
“As of today [May 5 – ed.], the situation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has improved: eight servicemen in Kharkiv who have been previously tested positive for coronavirus, now shown negative results. Therefore, at present, the total number of COVID-19 patients has even decreased,” the Minister of Defense emphasized.
He also added that more and more people recover from coronavirus disease every day.
“Most cases of this disease are associated with the fact that military personnel communicate with infected civilians,” Taran said.
