Ukrainians in September purchased and registered 7,600 new cars. This is 6% more compared to the same indicator last year, according to the Association of Ukrainian Automobile Manufacturers (Ukravtoprom).
The sales of new passenger cars in September increased by 9% compared to August 2020.
Toyota was the most popular brand among new passenger cars purchased last month. In September, 1,353 cars of this brand were registered, which is 28% more than in September last year. The bestseller of the month was the Toyota RAV-4 – the Ukrainians registered 542 cars of this model.
Renault took the second place in popularity: 994 registrations of cars of this brand in September, which is 14% less than in September 2019.
The third place was taken by the Volkswagen brand, 694 cars of which were registered in September, which is almost twice more than in the same period last year.
The fourth place took Kia brand: 465 cars were purchased in September 2020 (25% less than the same period in 2019).
The fifth place was taken by the Nissan brand – 446 cars were purchased in September, which is 28% more than in September 2019.
Also in the TOP-10 of the September market were: Hyundai (410 units, -14% compared to September 2019); Skoda (404 units, minus 1 car); Ford (242 units, + 54%); Suzuki (237 units, -6%); Mazda – (233 units, + 30%).
In total, in January-September 2020, Ukrainians purchased and registered about 60,000 new passenger cars, which is 2.6% less than in the same period last year.
