Since 2015, residents of Ukraine have invested about EUR 560 million in solar panels. Every year, the number of households that switch to “clean” energy is growing. So, in the Q3 of 2020, almost 2,000 more families became energy independent, the press service of the State Energy Efficiency Agency reports.
“Thus, the number of families using “clean” electricity increased by 8% and amounted to 27,623,” the message reads.
Most of the stations are installed in the Dnepropetrovsk region – about four thousand with a total capacity of 102.73 MW.
“We estimate that since 2015, households have invested around 560 million euros in solar panels. This is a contribution to its own energy independence and autonomy, as well as to the development of a large-scale Ukrainian market for services and equipment in the green energy,” the Acting Head of State Energy Efficiency Kostiantyn Gura said.
