Ukrainian-Italian film «Easy» was awarded prize of Venice Film Festival «Kineo Diamond Award». For the first time in history, a film of Ukrainian production was awarded International Film Festival in Venice, writes Ukrinform.
«This is a very important award, which clearly demonstrates the competitiveness of the Ukrainian film industry. Ukrainian cinema confidently declares itself not only in the domestic market, but also in the world. The award of Venice Film Festival confirms once again that Ukrainian culture is part of European one, and Ukraine will certainly find its place in the family of Western democracies», said Yuliya Chernyavska, producer of the film «Easy».
«Kineo Diamond Award» is a special award of festival, which is celebrated by films of countries of the world for the last 16 years.
Director of the dramatic comedy film was the Italian artist Andrea Magnani.
It is reported that 58% of the production of the film was taken by the Ukrainian side with the participation of State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema and the production company Fresh Production.
As previously reported by The Journalist, an international film festival was launched in Venice.
