International anti-corruption organization Transparency International has published the results of the study "Corruption Perceptions Index-2018". Ukraine is in the 120th place among 180 countries of the world. About this reports Interfax-Ukraine.
Ukraine got the result – 32 points and ranked 120th among 180 countries. Thus, Ukraine has slightly improved its previous results and has risen by 10 places (the result for 2017 is 30 points, 130th place).
Transparency International Ukraine notes the partial implementation of the organization’s recommendations for 2018 regarding the creation of an Anti-Corruption Court. Ukraine adopted relevant legislation, but the full launch of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court was postponed to 2019.
The organization developed recommendations for the Ukrainian authorities for 2019, including restarting the NACP, introducing proper automatic verification of declarations and monitoring the level of declarants, ensuring the effective operation of the register of beneficiaries, and continuing the public procurement reform.
