Government granted Ukrenergo with guarantees to attract loans from state banks, the EBRD and other international financial organizations on preferential terms. The corresponding law was adopted today by the people’s deputies, Journalist reports with reference to the press center of the Ministry of Energy.
This will help raise the level of settlements in the electricity market and ensure the implementation of the Memorandum with investors in green energy.
Attraction of credit funds is one of the non-tariff instruments for regulating the situation on the electricity market, which allows avoiding a sharp one-step increase in the tariff for electricity transmission.
Due to the efforts of the Ministry of Energy, it was possible to stabilize the situation on the electricity market. The signing of the Memorandum with producers and renewable energy sources investors and the adoption of the corresponding law allowed to reduce the “green” tariff and contributed to a significant increase in the level of settlements with renewable energy sources producers. Today, payments for electricity from alternative sources for August and September are 100%.
