Railway workers had restored the movement of suburban trains on the Mariupol – Pivdennodonbaska section after five-year break. This was reported by the Ukrzaliznytsia press service.
To ensure the safe operation of suburban trains along this route, Ukrzaliznytsia regional branch, Donetsk Railway, and specialists from the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters have checked and prepared the relevant infrastructure.
“A year ago, Ukrzaliznytsia launched the updated Mariupol-Volnovakha suburban electric trains in Donetsk Oblast, and today we have restored traffic on the Volnovakha- Pivdennodonbaska section,” Serhii Bugaev, director of the Donetsk Railway regional branch said.
He added that four suburban trains will run on this section.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrzaliznytsia will receive 110 French electric locomotives until 2025.
