One of the most famous Czech directors 88-year-old Václav Vorlíček, died, Prague newspaper Mladá fronta DNES writes.
Vorlíček’s films have received prizes and awards at prestigious international film festivals. His works such as “The Girl on the Broom”, “Who Wants to Kill Jesse?”, “And what if you eat spinach?” And “Madam, you are a widow” have become classics of world cinema.
Ukrainians know the late director by his fairy tale film “Tři oříšky pro Popelku” (1973) (Three Nuts for Cinderella).
