The U.S. Department of State has approved the sale to Ukraine of up to 16 Mark VI patrol boats and equipment for a total of USD 600 million, the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency reports.
Ukraine has made a request for the purchase of 16 Mark VI patrol boats, 32 MSI Seahawk A2 gun systems, 20 electro-optic/infrared radars, 40 MK44 30mm cannons.
“This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the U.S. by improving the security of a partner country, which is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe,” the statement reads.
