This year, various events dedicated to 85th anniversary of memory of victims of Holodomor are taking place in Ukraine and around the world. Informational 85-days campaign has begun on 1 September. Information materials on memorial events on 85th anniversary of Holodomor in Ukraine in the form of social advertising with the support of Ministry of Information Policy are distributed throughout the country.
Among the planned activities is the performance «Wandering» from the National Museum «Memorial to the Victims of the Holodomor», which takes place daily in Kiev from 12 to 23 November. From November 20 to December 10, an interactive exhibition «Gareth Jones. Diary», dedicated to a British journalist who was one of the first to write the truth about Holodomor in Ukraine. On November 22-24 in Kyiv in Mystetskiy arsenal International Forum «Ukraine remembers. The world recognizes» will take place.
On November 24 from 14.30 to 16.00 in Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine, as well as in 85 countries on all continents, national minute of silence and All-Ukrainian action «Light a Candle of Memory» will take place.
Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, together with the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, issued brochures in different languages, the purpose of which are to tell the whole world about the genocide of the Ukrainian people. This was announced during a press conference by State Secretary of Ministry of Information Policy Artem Bydenko.
«We, as Ministry of Information Policy, always join all actions and projects of Ukrainian Institute of National Memory. The issues of working with foreign audiences, elite, politicians of foreign countries in this direction are not an exception, so that Holodomor will be recognized as a genocide of Ukrainian nation. This year, with the help of artistic means, we want to highlight this problem as much as possible. Together with the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, we have released brochures in Ukrainian, English, French and Spanish, which will be distributed both in Ukraine and abroad. In particular, in embassies of Ukraine, diplomatic missions, at international events. There is also a public advertisement on external media, and soon there will be several videos, one of which will be animated. He tells the story of a girl who survived during the Holodomor. Such videos are intended to convey to people that this tragedy should not happen again. Just next week, the videos will be ready, and we will be able to broadcast them on television, on the Internet. The videos will be translated into English and posted on foreign resources», said a representative of Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine.
