Ambassadors of the European Union countries have decided to extend sanctions against individuals and entities over Russia’s aggression against Ukraine for another six months. This was tweeted by the Brussels correspondent for Radio Liberty, Ricard Jozwiak.
“EU ambassadors have decided to prolong the asset freezes and visa bans on 163 people and 44 entities responsible for undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Sanctions will be officially prolonged in early March. Another 8 people will be added later for the Sea of Azov," said in a statement.
Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the European Union Mykola Tochytsky called this decision a “symbolic step on the fifth anniversary of the beginning of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.”
As The Journalist reported, Ukraine bans import of another 19 books from Russia.
