First attention to the state of water in the Dnipro drew local fishermen.
According to the capital’s resident, who has been fishing under Metro Bridge for more than 30 years, water is blooming and bluish, and there are no fish in such areas of the river.

«Сhairman of Fishermen’s Association says blue-green algae cannot be seen every day. Plants that suck oxygen out of the water emit toxins. This film also strangles the fish. And for a person causes burns and allergies», report says.

In turn, employees from Office of Water Resources took water samples for analysis. By the result, 28 hundred milligrams of phosphates per liter were established, which is an indicator below the established rate.
