In Kyiv there will be a unit of policemen who will patrol the streets on motorcycles. About this informs press service of the General Directorate National Police.
In order to organize a quick access of law enforcement officers to hard-to-reach places in Kyiv, a police unit on motorcycles will start working. In general, we are talking about rapid arrival of patrolmen at the scene of an accident – to provide assistance to the victims, to issue necessary documents, to regulate flow of traffic at scene of an accident and the like.
16 patrol policemen have already received certificates of instructors, having completed a two-month specialized course in motor transport management. They were trained by Canadian police instructors.
«They will «unload road», free and organize the passage of another transport. This is a maneuverable transport, which first arrives in place», said the head of the patrol police department of the National Police, Yevhen Zhukov.
