Zhytniy Market in Podil will be closed for reconstruction at least for two years . This is informed by The Village of Ukraine.
The market’s reconstruction will be started in 2020 and will last two years – until 2022.
The report notes that the building of the market has not been repaired since 1980.
The reconstruction project does not provide changes for architectural form or market’s plan.
The administration promises that the reconstruction will keep the facade of the Zhytniy Market unaffected.
The market will not operate during the reconstruction process.
According to the Zhytniy Market management, the reconstruction will be carried out within the framework of the Kyiv social and economic Development Program for 2017-21. Although it is not yet known exactly who will funding reconstruction.
