Yurii Palivoda, Chief Engineer of Kyiv Heating Network Joint Venture of Kyivteploenergo KP, said that in capital in 2019 45 small boiler houses will be closed and consumers will be switched to powerful modern heat sources. About this informs Vechirniy Kyiv.

It is reported that in Kyiv heating system will be modernized.
According to Kyivteploenergo, 30 to 40 damage occurs on central heating and hot water pipelines in Kyiv every day. They are eliminated by 30 teams of specialists and 280 units of equipment.

“In 2019, new pre-insulated pipes (PIT-pipes) will be transferred, 100 kilometers of the most emergency heating networks, and it will cost almost 600 million UAH. But our plan is more ambitious and will be financed from 3 sources – from the domestic funds of Kyivteploenergo (about 300 million UAH), from the city (300 million UAH), from the funds provided by the EBRD – $ 100 million. In addition to PIT pipes, will be closed 45 small unprofitable boiler houses, and consumers will switch to powerful modern sources of heat supply. We will also move away from the use of central heat points and install gradually individual heat points in homes and complexes, where there will be weather control of the coolant temperature, which will significantly save consumers’ money,” said Yurii Palivoda.
