It is reported that overpass will begin to be demolished 3-4 November. In addition, project provides for the demolition of foundry shop of the Bolshevyk plant. However, Victory Avenue will not be blocked for transport completely, only partially limit the traffic on one lane. Work will take place at night.
Report notes that construction of a new overpass will take 1.5 years, and cost of reconstruction is 830 million UAH.
«In the first days there will be a hell on the roads, but hopefully not for long. Now they will arrange road signs and new traffic lights for detour traffic of the construction zone. Contact network for trolley buses has been retooled. Cars will drive along Nesterov, Tsedik, Harmatna and Vyborg streets», said the chief engineer of the industrial enterprise Directorate for the construction of Kyiv’s road and transport facilities Oleksandr Zdolnik.
It is noted that at the moment builders are engaged in the transfer and expansion of storm sewers, water pipes, telephone and electrical cables.
According to Zdolnik, the final result of the project will be in the form of an «incomplete clover leaf» of a two-level interchange, so as not to affect the lobby of the Shuliavska station.
«Now we are building a «incomplete clover leaf» interchange with the demolition of casting shop of the Bolshevyk plant according to the approved project. The issue of demolition is completely worked out, the documents are at the exit», explained Oleksandr Zdolnik.
