Record number of newborns was registered in Kyiv

An increase in the birth rate was registered in the capital previous year, compared with previous years since 1991. This is reported by UNN news agency.
It is reported that in 2017 almost 35.4 thousand babies were born in Kyiv: 18.5 thousand boys and 16.9 thousand girls.
It is noted that this is the highest figure for all the years of Ukraine’s independence.
INFO: in 1991, 29,000 children were born in the capital; 19,000 children in 2000 and 32,100 children were born in 2010.
Note, that as of January 1, 2018, according to official statistics, there were 2,934,500 people in Kyiv, which is 11% more than the same date in 1992 .
